June 17, 2017 – I have always loved sandpipers and other shore birds that run along the waves and find food. This little guy was running along, found some tasty morsel and then proceeded to carry it all the way up the beach past us to dine. It is hard to get close enough to get good photographs for painting. They are very skittish and run off at the first sound or shadow that spooks them. Once again I am working on waves and how to depict water realistically in my painting.
