April 30, 2017 – I find it difficult to decide when I am finished with a painting. I keep working and see more that needs to be done. When I am at the point that I don’t know how to do what I see that needs to be done, I often just stop. Not sure that is the best way to decide that a painting is complete, but I can’t keep on the same painting incessantly forever! The two birds I have been working on are at that point, I think they are complete. I will look at them once again and sign them, but my mind is thinking about what I would rather be painting, so I guess that is another sign that I am done.
