deciding

April 21, 2017 – Once I finish a painting, or rather even before I finish one, I start to think what will be next. I currently want to do a painting of a kingfisher, a close up head of a heron, more snowy egrets, and some beach landscapes. My next paintings will be a bit smaller before I tackle another large one, so the birds will be first. I am thinking that the kingfisher should be next because I have been studying him as he flies to the tree out back and grabs food out of the canal.

In addition I am trying to get some photos of sandpipers and other water’s edge seabirds to paint. There is so much action and motion. I am not sure how to depict that, but first I need to get some photos.
